Marketing to Women May Save the Economy
Marketing to Women May Save the Economy

Uncle Sam is going to be sending us all big rebate checks in the next couple of weeks to help stimulate the economy.  I've seen several articles advising consumers to save and invest that money for a rainy day.  Well, I say when the going gets tough, the tough go go shopping!

The best way to stimulate the economy is by giving those checks to the big spenders, "The Chief Purchasing Officers", the largest market segment in the world -- women.  The control 85% of the household purchase decisions and the majority handle the family finances.  They earn and own more today than at any previous time in history, and their financial power is accelerating.  Women are the key to turning around the economy!

One smart marketer to capitalize on this is Restoration Hardware.  Their current e-mail campaign touts their own "economic stimulus plan," no interest and no payments for a year with a $750 purchase, plus a bonus $100 voucher on future purchases.

It's time for other marketers to enlist the "power of the purse" in their efforts to improve sales and restore the economy. And it's time for the women of America to unite and help this great nation of ours in its time of trouble.  So, whether you are a single woman with a new condo to furnish, a married woman planning a family vacation or a PrimeTime WomanTM searching for great gifts for the grandkids, it's your patriotic duty to shop!  Go cash those checks, and lead the revolution to rev up the American marketplace.

"My first exposure to Marti was a defining one.  That is why I invited her to speak to the WNBA league staff and team management.  Her insights, wit and delivery of the important messages are unique.  She has an amazing ability to deliver business information that people can not only hear but take away and apply to their business plans.  She is talented, approachable and fun.  That's why I sought her out.  I am glad I did!"
